I couldn’t find a thread for the series, but the final season premiered yesterday with two episodes on FX. With 10 reviews, the season is rated 92 on Metacritic.

March 1, 2022 at 11:24 am #1204826209In the last few weeks I have watched the other seasons and absolutely loved it, it is so real that it didn’t feel like a show but like I was watching real life, it is very touchy and honest. Pamela Adlon is brilliant in this and gives a really vivid, authentic performance.
I watched the first episode of the new season and liked it! The last minutes made me sad with the beginning of the end.

ReplyCopy URLApril 23, 2022 at 10:18 am #1204928861This season has been one episode better than the other. “England” was so perfect and that scene with Duke in the park was amazing. Not ready for the finale.

ReplyCopy URLApril 25, 2022 at 11:03 pm #1204932551Pretty sure I just watched one of best series finales I ever saw. Beautiful, sweet and special like all this final season in a way Better Things is really good to do.
ReplyCopy URLApril 26, 2022 at 9:01 am #1204933220I expected nothing but perfection and somehow this finale managed to exceed my expectations and made me cry a lot. Heres to one of the greatest comedies going out just as it came in with utter brilliance, this show was truly one of a kind thanks to the singular vision of Pamela Adlon.
ReplyCopy URLApril 26, 2022 at 2:28 pm #1204933539Simply put, the most life-affirming tv show I’ve ever seen.
ReplyCopy URLApril 26, 2022 at 5:40 pm #1204933788Wiping away the tears I shed at that ending. This journey was amazing to follow and Pamela Adlon is one of the most authentic artists out there. I will miss the show!

ReplyCopy URLAugust 3, 2022 at 1:25 am #1205033375Just watched “England”.
Why Pamela Adlon is not nominated (and is not winning) directing in a comedy series?
Is her best achievement yet, better than previous strong outings like “Chicago” and “New Orleans”…
Perfect episode. Now can’t wait to see the finale.
