No, the show is not my cup of tea.  The finale was my favourite.  I also watched the special.  I was perhaps most impressed by Emily Hampshire out of the performances for how she was able to elicit such sympathy from relatively limited material.

I may be mistaken, but I think we can only request candidates who are submitted to the Emmy Ballots.

Maybe she submits herself?

I specifically remember they included Indira Varma for Game of Thrones’ 7th season, and I’m fairly sure she wasn’t submitted at all.

Could we be underestimating Judith Light for the win? She hasn’t won a Primetime Emmy yet after multiple nominations, has a juicy role and has the benefit of being possibly the co-lead of the show she is guesting in’s second season. Sure the nomination is her hurdle and it doesn’t help that Midler might also be nominated but she has a lot going for her in comparison to people like Waller-Bridge, Kudrow, Wiig and Sykes if she gets nominated (obviously she faces stiff competition with Maya Rudolph also having a lot going for her and also being overdue).

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Maybe? These categories are pretty erratic so I’d say really any of the predicted eventual nominees could possibly win bar maybe Wiig.
