Daytime Emmys question – game shows

The 2022 Daytime Emmy nominations are out, and Pat Sajak is nominated for both syndicated Wheel of Fortune and ABC’s Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Since Celebrity WoF only aired at 8 PM Eastern (as far as I know), how did it get to be eligible for the Daytime Emmys?

There was talk of having all game shows compete against each other, presumably in the Daytime Emmys, the way all children’s shows do now, but wasn’t that put on the back burner until 2023?

I believe it had to do with the Emmy changes having programs compete with their type, not necessarily when they air. This is why daytime & primetime game shows compete together, and all children’s shows compete together. I think I remember reading that, am I right someone?
