This Mad Men / Master of None analogy makes zero sense to me. Why are we saying it’ll be snubbed because a completely imaginary show would apparently be snubbed? It’s like saying Hacks will be blanked because a FX series starring Andre Braugher as a novelist that doesn’t exist wouldn’t be nominated.

The point is that the current season of Master of None has literally nothing in common with the previous seasons except the name and 1 character. It’s not a full-length season of tv, a comedy, or focused on the same characters and plot. It’s just an extremely different spinoff show, and spinoff shows even of beloved Emmy contenders don’t tend to perform the way that the originals did. And Master of None wasn’t even that beloved of an Emmy contender. It only ever won 3 Emmys (writing twice and editing once) out of 12 nominations, and the only categories that it made it into for both of its seasons were Series, Writing, and Actor (and obviously the latter isn’t an option anymore). So, why would it do all that well at the Emmys when it isn’t the same show? I’m not saying it can’t get a few nominations, but it’s at best a filler contender that will miss in the more competitive categories and nothing more.

Even the BAFTAs are going to be in person to some degree this year. I’ll be surprised at this point if the Emmys don’t end up being in person.

    Oscars FYC:
"THE POWER OF THE DOG" – IN ALL CATEGORIES
"SPENCER" – In all categories especially Director (Pablo Larrain) and Actress (Kristen Stewart)
"SHIVA BABY" – in all categories especially Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Score
"TOGETHER" – Actress (Sharon Horgan), Actor (James McAvoy), Original Screenplay
    "FLEE" – IN ALL CATEGORIES
"LAST NIGHT IN SOHO" – Director (Edgar Wright), S. Actress (Anya Taylor-Joy/Diana Rigg), Cinematography, Costume Design and Production Design

I just finished season 2 of Special and wish that the show stood a chance for Emmy nominations. The women on the show were stellar and earned Emmy nods in the short form categories for season one. I hate how they will be overlooked for the whole SNL cast. I look forward to see what Punam Patel does in the future. She is very funny and good delivery.

Is High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in contention this year for its second season? Olivia Rodrigo could easily score a song nod here, methinks.

Is High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in contention this year for its second season?

Next year, it’s in the same boat as Black
Monday, beginning airing in May 2021 but majority of episodes will in the 2022 eligibility cycle. I think both seasons finales are scheduled for mid-July.

Olivia Rodrigo could easily score a song nod here, methinks.

“All I Want” really should’ve been nominated last year. (“Wondering” too)

“All For Us” & “Memorised” were great choices; the Little Fires & Watchmen songs weren’t used in full in their episodes; The Black Godfather was just a failed Oscar bait track what was the point in nominating it for an Emmy; I can live with “Eat Sh!t Bob” being nominated and I’m indifferent to “One Less Angel”. It’s a bland song but used well in the Series, which seems to be rarity.

    Oscars FYC:

    "CODA" – in all categories

"Everybody's Talking About Jamie" – Sup. Actor (Richard E. Grant), Sup. Actress (Sarah Lancashire) and Original Song (“This Was Me”)

"King Richard" – Original Song (“Be Alive”)

"Summer of Soul" – Picture, Film Editing and Documentary Feature

“The Green Knight” – in all categories

Absolutelyyy! Just the body of work Ms. Rodrigo has delivered in a jiffy, it’s a marvel!

Halfway through this, and Punam Patel kills it in every. single. scene.

I get that Goldderby is behind, but come on, Hacks is clearly making it at this point. It and Girls5eva being that far behind stuff like Cobra Kai and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is just wrong.

I did NOT know that Morgan Freeman was a guest star this season on Kominsky Method (great season so far btw).
Maybe he will get a nod.

How tf is The Flight Attendant going to pull off THREE supporting actress noms? That just doesn’t seem realistic to me.
