I just have to say it’s funny how Drama and Limited Actress are a huge messy 4-way race that no one knows what to do while here Smart is just waiting for her Emmy to be delivered to her

    Emmys FYC: Jean Smart.

This should be her third win in the last 5 years too.

I’ve agreed with this since it was first discussed but not predicting The Flight Attendant here hurts. While it was a different system it just reminds me so much of the Pushing Daisies pilot that won even though the show didn’t get much above the line attention.

Let’s email all of the directing branch to make sure they vote for The Flight Attendant hun.

I still don’t rule out Cuoco, I think they might prefer to reward an artist who spent years doing a great comedy series and now comes with a great showy acting

I think Smart has a lot more goodwill than Cuoco she’s worked with a ton of people in the industry and has gotten multiple great roles in the last couple of years and the only times she’s lost recently were to other Emmy darlings and Cuoco isn’t one.

This should be her third win in the last 5 years too.

I mean tbh thank god it’s not or some would start giving her the McDormand treatment. Not that I think that would happen over here on the TV side, right? RIGHT?

I still yearn for the Cuoco win too (but to be fair, I haven’t seen Hacks) and think it’s plausible she can still do it.

I agree. As much as I loved Jean Smart in Hacks, Kaley Cuoco was a revelation in Flight Attendant and easily the best part of that show. She should win, but she won’t.
