War is nominated in writing. You must mean directing.

Oh yeah, i switched both, thanks
So Crown should win Writing, Directing could happen a vote split.

I don’t doubt that Emma Corrin is (deservedly) winning. Elisabeth Moss, however, is my personal choice. If you’ve watched season 4 of THT you can’t deny that she’s giving career best work and continuing to cement herself as one of the best actors of her generation!

So, The Crown is winning writing and directing too? Any possible threat?

Hard to imagine it losing, especially because “Fairytale” is the clear standout from the Directing nominees.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

I feel like when watching Elisabeth Moss in each project she does and each season of a show you can quite literally see someone growing as an actor. It’s quite satisfying.

Have you seen Mad Men? Would you say her work in the latter half of season of The Handmaid’s Tale is stronger than her work in season 4 of Mad Men (with “The Suitcase”)? I only ask because I haven’t finished this season of THT yet haha so interested to see what people think.

Yeah, i think War is more of a Hunting in this case.
Fairytale and This is Not For Tears had way more passion

I assume you mean on the basis that both are assumed to be the far and away frontrunners? Because I feel like “Fairytale” is more like “Hunting” (the third episode of the season and directing standout that is a potential contender for one of the show’s lead’s Emmy tape) and “War” is more like “This is Not For Tears” (a big finale but nothing more than it).

Season 4 is the best performance she’s ever given. If you watch all of It she’s undeniable.

Mad Men is literally my favourite tv show of all time haha! That’s a veeery difficult question since her season 4 performances in both of those shows are just the best of the best. Personally, since I have so much love for the character and think that she takes more skill to play since she’s a bit quieter and more subdued, I’d have to give the edge to Peggy. But that’s definitely not to take away from how much I love Lizzie’s embodiment of June and all the hard work she clearly puts into the role.

Lizzie’s performance in S4 made my jaw drop. And I had never had that reaction to her work on this show before.

Mad Men is coming to HBO Max here and I’m ready to rewatch
Personally I think Moss is better there, but she is way more used here.

One can argue she is borderline in almost every season on Mad Men

I love Julianna Margulies in The Good Wife, her performance is one of my favourites on television ever but her win over Moss for Mad Men season 4 was just wrong.

The Academy have denied “undeniable” performances before and they won’t be afraid to do it to Moss this year… unfortunately >:( just wait until the final season of THT drops and they have a farewell sweep at the Emmys #manifesting

Honestly, I am not gonna complain. I never expected 21 nominations, so I am good.

If Mad Men couldn’t have a farewell sweep for its final season (one of the greatest of all time) then I doubt shows like The Handmaid’s Taleor The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will be able to. I would love to be proven wrong though because I love shows haha!

I do think that Brosnahan and Moss can win again for their final seasons. I can see a final season narrative build considering how beloved their performances seem to be.

Don’t remind me 🙁
