Please won’t someone think of the sexy young white men! They don’t have anything else going for them.

He was most certainly win worthy in season 3!

Should’ve been a battle between him and Brian last year and that’s the fact.
So i won’t be mad if he wins, it’s just payback honeys.

Oop we’re back on the yearly “visuals = directing” from GoldDerby. Let me know when you’re done.

(And no I don’t think Schitt’s Creek deserved to win directing. But I do think it’s a fantastic episode of television. And there’s no such thing as a superb episode of TV that isn’t well directed.)

Darling don’t forget about the middle aged white men as well.
Imma need my Ethan Hawke, Matthew Rhys and Menzies recognized this year or I’ll charge them with a bias complain.

Rhys literally has an Emmy so he’s not quite so at the front of the queue.

Schitt’s direction was just incredibly basic (what made the show was the writing and performances, never the direction so your last point is void because there are plenty of instances of great television that isn’t driven by direction) and added nothing of substance to any bit or piece of the show. It’s just a garbage directing winner due to the sheer average/basicness of it all, nothing to do with visuals.
