I know they ran out of time because Scott Frank went on and on but I still have a sour taste in my mouth with how the producers showed clips for the drama actors but not the drama actresses. It’s not like we needed the clips to be saved for the series categories.

Yeah this is so weird to me, either show clips for all acting categories or don’t lol.

Please, this scene is iconic. I laughed so hard the first time I watched it. Jean and Kate are just A+. I am so happy the entire Mare family won Emmys on Sunday.

Also, for people who don’t know: This was the very first Mare scene Jean Smart shot.

Jean really is the epitome of a national treasure.

This is my final thought on this year’s ceremony (I promise!) but I really love how Sarah Paulson is supportive of her peers’ work. The way she smiled when she handed Foy and Winslet their Emmys or cheered when Julianne and Evan won and when Corrin beat her at the Globes.

Some of her tweets also indicate that she’s a Mare stan. The taste.

I think she congratulated both Peters and Nicholson on her insta story after the Emmys so possible.

She’s kinda obvious with some of her votes. I think she voted Michaela aswell.

I think so yes. She kept promoting Michaela and the show throughout the entire year and pretty much recommended it to almost everyone she knew.

She’s really supportive of actors especially those who are under awarded and/or are newcomers. It’s interesting because I think she mentioned something last summer (I think she liked someone’s tweet) about how although last year’s drama supporting actress category was filled with very strong win worthy turns she was supporting Sarah Snook because she’s the only one in the category who either wasn’t an Emmy winner and/or wasn’t very established in their career. A true queen!

Just completed watching Mare Of Easttown. Wow. What a series !

The writing is so lived-in,the characters so complex and developed. The directing is good and the atmosphere of the community feels so real.

With regards to the performances, Nicholson was heartbreaking in the finale. That’s how you win an Emmy. Peters was good and so was the scene stealing Jean Smart. But the series belongs to Winslet. It’s a tour de force and frankly speaking, one of the best TV performances ever (I think you all can agree). The fact that she refused to do the makeup shit and no editing, all were so brave. She has achieved in Mare something that has changed culture in Hollywood. She truly deserved the Emmy and I really really hope this marks the beginning of a Career resurgence for her.
