    I have:

    The Queen’s Gambit
    Kate Winslet
    Ethan Hawke
    John Boyega
    Kathryn Hahn
    The Queen’s Gambit
    The Queen’s Gambit

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

    Looking at other crime shows:

Twin Peaks: Kyle McLachlan + Piper Laurie
The Killing: Mireille Enos + Michelle Forbes
Top of the Lake: Elizabeth Moss + Peter Mullan
Sharp Objects: Amy Adams + Patricia Clarkson

Mare of Easttown: Kate Winslet + Jean Smart/Julianne Nicholson (?)

The partner rarely gets nominated (Kinnaman, Gwendoline Christie, Chris Messina, etc), so I don’t have hopes about Evan Peters. If he gets nominated, it’s a good sign for the show’s chances to win something.

Gwendoline Christie was in the second season of Top of the Lake and Chris Messina’s buzz kind of died down when Sharp Objects started to lose momentum at the winter awards (he was noticeably snubbed at Critics Choice even whilst Elizabeth Perkins was). I understand your point and I don’t think Peters is safe either (although I do have him in my predictions) but I think the situations are incomparable. Peters has more going for him than either Messina or Kinnaman did.

    Oscars FYC:
"THE POWER OF THE DOG" – IN ALL CATEGORIES
"SPENCER" – In all categories especially Director (Pablo Larrain) and Actress (Kristen Stewart)
"SHIVA BABY" – in all categories especially Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Score
"TOGETHER" – Actress (Sharon Horgan), Actor (James McAvoy), Original Screenplay
    "FLEE" – IN ALL CATEGORIES
"LAST NIGHT IN SOHO" – Director (Edgar Wright), S. Actress (Anya Taylor-Joy/Diana Rigg), Cinematography, Costume Design and Production Design

I have Peters in because what the fuck else is there? Honestly, beyond Boyega and Camp I have no idea who’s getting nominated.

I also have him and he would be my personal winner, but I’m skeptical. Award bodies seems to underline certain characters from these type of shows.

Opia is widely predicted, but the odds currently have Essiedu missing. I don’t really see why he’d miss if she gets in. We pretty much know that enough of the industry has watched the show in full, so the fact that his material doesn’t start until episode 4 doesn’t really affect his chances. It’s not like his category is more competitive than Supporting Actress either. He even has his own storyline away from Michaela’s character (unlike Opia), which is presumably why he was considered lead at BAFTA. I think there’s quite a strong case for him scraping in.

    For Your Consideration:

Carrie Coon, ‘The Gilded Age’ (no I haven’t seen it, but we have no choice but to stan anyway)

I’m actually pretty happy with my line-up. The two SAG nominees: Camp and Diggs, GG and CC winner Boyega, GG nominee and CC winner Sutherland, Pierre who has been singled out by most reviews and is essentially a co-lead in his two episodes which are at the beginning of the show, and then Peters who has gained much online hype and is a known name in a top series contender.
