TFA is a better looking and sounding show and should be able to get more BTL support.

Bill Hader and Barry in everything (2 babka)
The Great - Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult and comedy writing and directing

Severance in drama series, writing, Adam Scott for best actor, Ben Stiller for drama directing, and the whole cast in supporting.

Claire Foy who shocked the incumbent Emmy, GG, CC winner at SAG and then went on to defeat the incumbent winner at the Emmys for a performance which is one of the best seen on television.

Funnily enough I was just thinking of the last time I felt as passionate about a sophomore season performance as I have with Cuoco’s in this season of The Flight Attendant and the first one that came to mind was Foy’s in The Crown season 2.

    Hopefully it’s a sign haha!

Claire Foy winning for her second season when everyone had assumed Moss would just repeat.

Kaley Cuoco is absolutely blowing my mind with TFA. I guess TBBT really underused her.

    FYC:

All things Succession, Severance, Ted Lasso, The Great and The White Lotus! Also, Colin Firth and Janelle James while you're at it.

They did. They made the show very much about Sheldon Cooper, underutilising others.

Mostly painfully obvious stuff, but Hoult should’ve been here instead of Richardson and Novak.

Richardson is no surprise, the trades have been hyping The Afterparty non-stop ever since it came out, whether actual industry voters care about it (or even know what it’s existence) is different kettle of fish.

And am I reading this wrong, or are they implying Novak will only get nominated because he’s Persian?

Yeah, that’s what I got from that too, which is…weird (to put it mildly).
In reality, he should be nominated because of his hilarious performances in “The Cloak of Duplication” and “The Wellness Center”.

It’s not a Clayton Davis article if there isn’t a point about diversity that’s ostensibly well-meaning but comes off as incredibly condescending!

What do we think about Physical season 1 and Rose Byrne given that Physical season 2 – which is reportedly quite good – airs on 3 June, 13 days before nom voting starts?
