still think Bridgerton is being counted out too quickly on here. Even though it didn’t land in acting outside of Rege Jean-Page, it still got 12 nominations last year (including in categories like casting and directing) and this season is not only being released at the right time (
I agree more on Bridgerton as a program. I’m not necessarily convinced it will be a juggernaut acting branch wise as they had ample opportunity last year particularly in supporting actress. But I think more broadly it has good industry support.
January 27, 2022 at 7:56 pm #1204755711Jokes aside i like what I’ve seen so far from Bridgerton s2

January 28, 2022 at 2:20 am #1204756061God, the Succession stans are unbearable. One person doesn’t fall head over heels for the show and they’re dragged. Sorry that not everyone fucking loves this pretentious show about rich white people that can’t produce a scene without including a wannabe funny joke. Hopefully it votesplits itself to death in some Emmy categories. Also some of you claim to be #prodiversity, but then you want this show and this show only to sweep all the awards. The hypocrisy, lmao.

Potential supporting actress contender straight from Academy Awards?January 28, 2022 at 10:23 am #1204756721I could see Pedro Pascal sneaking into Drama Guest Actor for Book of Boba Fett. The show isn’t the best, but he does a good job in it

January 28, 2022 at 11:00 am #1204756806I do think we should keep an eye on Pachinko purely on the basis that it has a beloved and recent Academy Award winning actress in its cast.
FYC:
"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

January 28, 2022 at 2:18 pm #1204757072I do think we should keep an eye on Pachinko purely on the basis that it has a beloved and recent Academy Award winning actress in its cast.
I personally think Pachinko looks the best of the upcoming programming.
January 28, 2022 at 2:19 pm #1204757076I could see Pedro Pascal sneaking into Drama Guest Actor for Book of Boba Fett. The show isn’t the best, but he does a good job in it
Or voice, if he qualifies. Both of those would be nice ways to reward a performance that is well loved but isn’t a very logical ATL nom.
January 28, 2022 at 3:16 pm #1204757167I haven’t seen Squid Game yet, is it worth the hype? I don’t really see the appeal of people playing children’s games then getting murdered
