Re the Time Traveler’s Wife trailer at the end of Part 13, I do think one of the big things Leslie has going for her there is it’s a proper indisputable lead role. Lead Actress this year is filled with people who are “technical” or “spiritual” leads.

They already did an awful movie based on the novel

My problem with it is that the premise is extremely interesting and yet the show looks like the complete opposite of it.

The fact that they cast Theo James, of all actors available on earth, bugs me.

Also: wrong thread for this trailer (which I think would go comedy if anything at all) but – I was not expecting another Marvel release within two weeks of Obi-Wan. Is there a chance that’s getting dropped in a manner that’s more conducive to eligibility?

I think it could work but yeah I’m meh on James.

I quite like Leslie but I also think she has a ceiling acting wise and I feel like I’ve seen her in quite a bit.

    E

Do we think there’s anything left? My thought was Prime and Netflix maybe have wiggle room for one more show? (Netflix would be pushing it but I am inclined to think they’re going to drop something just before Stranger Things to pick up some of that audience because they’ve slotted The Umbrella Academy about eight days prior in June). Prime are pretty light on their slate after Wheel of Time bombed.

Thank God for Squid Game (especially), Pachinko and Yellowjackets else the number of likely returning nominees this year would have made me a bit sick.

~Not much active now due to a higher studies course
~still love watching films and television shows
~Everything Everywhere All At Once in all categories.
    ~Currently watching Abbott Elementary

Time Traveler’s Wife won’t be much of a contender

The trailer was lackluster and outside Leslie, I don’t see much promise (will be happy to be disappointed)

Can Severance and Pachinko both get in for Apple TV+? (Not to mention of The Morning Show which did really well with guilds.)

Just popping in to say that in a just world Brian Cox would win an Emmy for this. https://twitter.com/filmupdates/status/1503590412493025280?s=21
