ugh this stings!! She’s one of the best of an amazing cast on that show – hope she’s ok.

re Alexis Bledel, her character arc has basically ended so it makes sense that she’s leaving

Bledel conveys more in this scene just through her eyes than a lot of actors can do in their entire performances.

it would have been nice if she got a sendoff emmy instead of it going to a cameo speech by that queen lady

THT was wasting Bledel, who was one of the few parts of the show I actually liked so it’s good to see her get out in time. This decision was probably prompted by the same realisation. At least she can focus her energy on something worthwhile now.

    Neither deserved.

Sophie Okonedo deserved for stealing Ratched from under everyone’s nose.

Not that its a COVID thing but I feel like the competition this year is so tough that it simply won’t have room. With new shows like Yellowjackets as well as the love for Yellowstone and Better Call Saul or even the popularity of Euphoria there’s just no room for Bridgerton to fit in. At least Netflix has Squid Game to depend on in drama since “The Crown” is out this season.

How did you find out what they submitted? How can we find out for other shows? Thanks!

It’s on their FYC page, other shows I assume will vary if they’ve announced or put on the FYC sites what they’ve submitted, but Netflix has everything on their pages for all their shows.

So I’ve finished Stranger Things now and think it’s a solid season, even if a bunch of the plots don’t super mesh well together.

Overall, I think them pushing Winona in Lead is a weird choice (even if it is Winona Ryder).

MBB was overall good, I think she’s best in the back 2-3 episodes of the season as I didn’t really care about her story in the first half. Once we really get into the meat of her backstory, like episode 7 is AMAZING, she starts to shine.

Harbour is hit or miss for me, mostly because I found his story very isolating.

Winona is fine. Nothing special IMO.

Sadie Sink is the MVP and I absolutely would not complain for a nomination. Episode 4 is HER episode and she SHINES. Super excited to see her later this year in The Whale.

Overall, I think think’ll squeeze into series, not sure about the other nominations though.

I mean, in the book Emily dies in the equivalent of episode 2 so the source material gave her very little to do. She’s made it to episode 46 now.

Although that’s just the official submissions from Netflix. Talent might self submit?

I can’t comment for SG as I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know the ideal episode to submit aha.

I’m also not SUPER up to date on how submissions work.
