I don’t know if it matters, it’s been three years. My eighteen year old stepsister is staying with me tonight (with a friend) and they’ve been devouring it since the moment it dropped.
I mean awards matter, but at the end of the day, an awful lot of people just love that show. Clearly, it’s not winning any editing awards though lol.

I need every television critic and Emmy pundit to push Baranski and The Good Fight into awards consideration during the next Emmy cycle with the exact same heft they’ve been doing with Mandy Moore and Rhea Seehorn this time round. I don’t care that it’s on Paramount+, the excellence has been criminally overlooked by Emmy voters for too long.
FYC:
"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

I’m sure shows didn’t used to submit with such intensity.

Yes, I will be even more insufferable about this than usual. Baranski needs a farewell nomination, as do the Kings in writing.

Don’t know if it’s any indication of who they’re really pushing, but they’re having 8 actors at the FYC thing tonight, and that’s not including Millie Bobby Brown who I’m sure was invited and possibly just can’t make it:
David Harbour, “Jim Hopper”
Winona Ryder, “Joyce Byers”
Noah Schnapp, “Will Byers”
Sadie Sink, “Max Mayfield”
Natalia Dyer, “Nancy Wheeler”
Charlie Heaton, “Jonathan Byers”
Brett Gelman, “Murray Bauman”
Priah Ferguson, “Erica Sinclair”May 27, 2022 at 10:22 am #1204965463Bridgerton is doing the same thing in supporting actress. Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (in order of prominence on Netflix’s FYC site)
I mean I guess I get half a dozen if you aren’t sure but………..really?

Priah Ferguson, “Erica Sinclair”I think it isn’t really that big of an indication as to who they’re pushing, but more so of them making the best use of a large cast in order to do as many promotional events as possible. Brown and Hawke might be in others. I think it’s a real benefit to have an array of actors who can all be at different locations at the same time to promote the show at different events.

I haven’t seen this season of Stranger Things yet but the comical thing about the Bridgerton submissions is that Ashbourne, Drysdale and Conn are essentially furniture (I don’t even know who Florence Hunt plays on the show).
A decade ago shows like Mad Men and Game of Thrones wouldn’t even submit people like Melinda Page Hamilton or Gwendoline Christie.

I tried to put a like on this but for some reason when I pressed it it wouldn’t register but YES.
It’s always said that awards aren’t everything and that is true when it comes to being a barometer of quality (The Good Fight is still one of the best shows on television in spite of lacking awards recognition) but it makes a sizeable difference when it comes to a show’s visibility and audience awareness and The Good Fight needs and merits that boost after five outstanding (and in some cases, all time great) seasons of television with very rich character subtext and important socio-political relevance.
Get on it Emmy voters!
