No way The Emmys have made it a point to go on nominating Chris Sullivan and ignore Justin Hartley.

I lost hope for Hartley unfortunately.

Mandy Moore ad Milo Ventimiglia should be able to get back in (hopefully).

I hope so but the lead acting categories look so damn competitive next year. Especially actress with Aniston, Baranski, Comer, Linney, Oh, Zendaya etc.

    FYC:

Director: Jane Campion, Rebecca Hall, Pablo Larrain
Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch, Andrew Garfield, Winston Duke/James McAvoy
Actress: Olivia Colman, Kristen Stewart, Tessa Thompson
    S. Actor: Richard E. Grant, Troy Kotsur, Kodi Smit-McPhee
    S. Actress : Kirsten Dunst/Martha Plimpton/Ruth Negga/Diana Rigg/Anya Taylor-Joy
    O. Screenplay: Bergman Island/Mass/Nine Days
    A. Screenplay: The Lost Daughter/Passing/The Power of the Dog/Shiva Baby

You’re right. I don’t know why this didn’t occur to me. I would agree that our lineup is already looking pretty predictable.

Both Odenkirk and Milo are not in a good place since they both have been dropped already.
I would lean towards Bob because he hasn’t be tested after his drop and the field is beyond empty.

Milo didn’t made it back this year when the field was barren, so it doesn’t look that promising for him.

But we’ll see, this time last year we had no idea RJP was gonna get in, nor that Josh would be lead, so who knows.

I think what’s going to be interesting about this field is that pretty much everything apart from Succession and The Morning Show is airing in the spring. This is actually something I can see helping both (or in the latter’s case its actors)  as they won’t be lost in the shuffle. We’re already seeing shows on the comedy side struggling due to how stacked this autumn slate is.
