May 25, 2022 at 8:59 pm #1204963910STARS AT NOON is bad & I blame it on Joe Alwyn not being Robert Pattinson. Not sure how to criticize it because it’s just a boring mess. Plays like a Wikipedia page about Latin American politics (with more sex) at best. At worst it’s an overly long snore. A tragedy. #Cannes2022 pic.twitter.com/erofeRKJxt

Also, it is a testament to Joe Alwyn’s cesspool of apathy that Margaret Qualley almost fooled us into thinking she was good in this. #Cannes2022

Between this and Conversations with Friends, Joe Alwyn is having A Year.

The way those categories are right now, I think it would’ve been a very likely possibility.

Since she’s in supporting, I have a weird feeling that Daddario will be Rose Byrne’d and miss despite having one of the largest screentimes and other co-stars with smaller screentimes will make before her (Coolidge, Britton, Rothwell, maybe Sweeney).

May 26, 2022 at 2:34 pm #1204964676I know someone here had asked about Under the Banner of Heaven numbers (Manav?). Nielsen numbers are out for the week of release (April 25 – May 1) and the show didn’t make the top 10. Full disclosure, first 2 episodes were released April 28, so we may see it with more time and more episodes.
May 26, 2022 at 4:31 pm #1204964737Disney’s Andor (Star Wars) trailer for August 31
(She Hulk, House of The Dragon, Lord of The Rings, and Andor out within fourteen days, strong indications Netfix will date something there too).
*and yes that is Fiona Shaw at the end.

I know! but for the moment they are saying otherwise
(I have heard this isn’t going as long as expected, but I’d always been under the impression it was drama as well, this has always been very open to the point of people saying it on the record, and I presume they’ll be filming before the end of the year). Unless there’s been a plan change I don’t know about.

I wonder if that and Nine Perfect Strangers keep the noms back at 5
(otherwise, this is a no-brainer renewal for a three-way co-pro)

Sometimes I wonder if the social media teams are just disconnected entirely from whatever is going on at Disney. This is the same thing that happened with Moon Knight but the other way around, they called the finale a season finale with no reason to. With Andor, Gilroy was on a stage hours ago explicitly referring to a second season. 💀
