Maybe it’s the overly hopeful stan in me, but I don’t think Qualley is out of the race just yet. Despite Inventing Anna making it in Series, I think Qualley is third at worst.

Agree. The big general pool of Emmy voters might’ve picked Inventing Anna and Pam & Tommy over Maid, but the actors branch tends to award performances like Qualley’s, that are deeply emotional and human (think: Mare).

Also, Maid and Station Eleven not getting series despite both getting the big 3 (acting, writing, directing) tells me that the “statistics” of past races no longer applies in 2022. This is the wild west.  The idea that 2 shows (Inventing Anna and Pam & Tommy) got into series despite ZERO NODS  for writing/directing…is absurd. What do people think a series is?? It’s literally writing, directing, and acting. I believe we will see a big disconnect this year between the Series noms and who the writing/directing/acting BRANCHES pick to win.  (We actually already saw this last year, with Halston winning acting, I May Destroy You winning Writing, Mare winning acting, and Queens Gambit winning Series/Directing.) This year – I bet it’s even more diversified, and I bet Maid and Station Eleven get statues in writing and directing.

Here for it, Paulson was terrific in Impeachment and should be a multiple winner by now.

Her only having one Emmy is such an odd Mandela Effect.

It’s kind of funny how we were thinking Toni Collette moving up to lead would hurt her chances of a nomination yet in hindsight she probably wouldn’t have even been nominated in supporting over any of The White Lotus women.

Had Netflix also put Anna Chlumsky in lead for Inventing Anna I wonder if she would have bumped her out.

Station Eleven deserves but I’m very confident Mike White is sweeping

Is she really going to win for an irregular weird accent especially the year after they awarded one of the best accent works seen in recent times (Delco) ?

She should have *at the very least* been nominated for Mrs. America.

The whole cast should have been nominated.

What is unfair and also ironic is that despite a shift in industry that result in an overpour of limited series contenders each year it is only a handful that is sampled by Television Academy voters.
