    GIRL
67M for Maid? That’s huuuuge, people with taste.
Also 55M for Sex Ed is really big, why they aren’t campaigning this one?

The people saying Maid is too small to win anything at the winter awards are awfully silent now.

Squid Game helped Maid somehow. People who tried to watch the show but couldn’t get into the violence and weirdness found Maid after scrolling Squid Game down. On the other hand, people who finished Squid Game and wanted something less heavy to watch also went to watch Maid because it was the new thing on Netflix.

I guess this is one of the reasons Netflix won’t abandon bingewatching. I think Maid would have suffered from the same thing Scenes From a Marriage (which is getting a bit buzzier after the final episode, imagine if it was bingewatching show) and Dopesick are suffering if it was weekly.

The book is also peaking back at the best seller lists. It’s also worth a remind that Margot Robbie is one of the producers.

I hope Margaret Qualley, Anika, Andie and Robinson can get traction at the awards.

I’ve always disagreed with blanket statements like weekly release is better than bingewatching for viewership & buzz and such. It has always depended on a show-to-show basis imo. The streamers need to realise which one is suitable for what show. Looking at you Hulu.

You only have to look at how something like Normal People has performed for Hulu as opposed to Dopesick to show it isn’t something very uniform.

Maid is a type of a show that the Actors branch will go for unlike The Queen’s Gambit which was really just an Anya show. Breaking the record is impressive especially with Squid Game sucking the hype of all Netflix shows. Lol.

But watch Inventing Anna to beat it in January with less competition. Lol.

Talking about Dopesick you guys should really give it a go.
Kaitlyn Dever is killing it so much.
