So I was looking up the Triple Crown of Acting recently, and I had a big question, namely regarding the Emmy categories. It’s fairly straightforward with the Oscars and Tonys: there are four acting categories for the former and eight for the latter, all of which are applicable for the TCA. But with the Emmys, you not only have the various Primetime categories, but also the Daytime ones and the International ones, making it near-impossible to count them all. Not only that, but you also have “lesser” acting categories (like the recently-made Short-Form Series categories or the voice acting category) that some might argue don’t apply for the TCA, and also numerous retired acting categories, like the Variety Series category (which itself included late-night hosts despite them not 100% acting).

So I was wondering: could someone provide a comprehensive list of all the Emmy categories that can be used for the Triple Crown of Acting?

I mean the triple crown of acting is not like an official thing, it is for us cause we like awards and stuff, but it’s not like it has a rulebook

The part that gets tricky for me is only Voice Acting/Narrating, but i guess even that requires you to get into character.
So, if you’re an actor and you won an Emmy, i guess the category doesn’t matter for TCA.

And like, Helena Bonham Carter has an International Emmy for Best Actress. Why wouldn’t she be named an Emmy winner just because it’s not Primetime.

For the record, I never doubted that the Daytime and International Emmys wouldn’t count, I was just saying it’s hard to keep track of them all.
