Hey, I’m going through my potential predictions and I’ve realized there’s a few categories this year where a single program has four nominees in the category. It got me wondering about if a show ever lost a category with that many or more nominations in the category. I remember it happening to “Desperate Housewives” at the Golden Globes when all the lead actresses from that show lost to Mary-Louise Parker for “Weeds” one year, but my recall at the Emmys with it is a bit rusty. Does anybody know the statistics on shows with 4+ nominations in a category and how often they win? I’d appreciate the info. Thanks in advance.

It’s close to unheard of and likely tied to the unlimited ballot trend – for the Emmys I believe the other occasison was 2019 and the split between the Game of Thrones girls. None of them won, however Garner was considered quite strong in that field in a way I don’t think any competitor in the Best Suppporting Actor – Comedy race is this year.
