Hey, I didn’t see any thread about it so I’m gonna give it a shot

Heartstopper is an upcoming British coming-of-age romance streaming television series developed for Netflix based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. The series is scheduled to premiere on 22 April 2022.

It stars Joe Locke, Kit Connor and Olivia Colman

Olivia Colman appears in 4 out of 8 episodes of the series (Episode 1, Episode 5, Episode 7, Episode 8). Hence she’s ineligible for the Guest Actress Emmy since she isn’t in less than half of the number of episodes (that is <4 episodes) of the series.

If this is renewed, Olivia Colman would have a meatier scene in the next season. That being said, regardless of awards stuff I really hope this is renewed. It was adorable and I wish I had this kind of show as a baby gay.

Is this too “old” a show to submit in Daytime (ie under Kids and Family)?

Outside of Emmys, good contender for GLAAD.

Alice Oseman has been adamant that she’s meant the series to be family programming, but from my vague familiarity of the typical nominees it feels like the Emmys cap those categories at middle school stuff? Second season and on would also be tougher (IMO) because of things Charlie deals with in the books.
