Carrie’s scenes with Yevgeny were highlights of this episode. Costa Ronin is very compelling and charismatic, so I’m really curious to see what really happened during Carrie’s dark 7-month blackout. Haqqani’s scenes with his traitorous son were intense! It was a mistake keeping the son alive just to return to conspire with the Pakistani lady, but what’s a father gonna do lol? And FYI, it was the reviews that said episode 4 was a major one for Maury Sterling, not something I just made up in my head.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 24, 2020 at 10:49 am #1203358827Of course; there is just a lot going on in the fourth episode, so I do not understand why anyone would highlight Maury Sterling in it. It might be Beau Bridges’s tape for example.

ReplyCopy URLFebruary 24, 2020 at 2:54 pm #1203359111No, that is all that is available on the press website.

Yeah, I wasn’t convinced everyone’s dead. After watching this week’s episode, I feel like rewatching the whole show. No show does tension like Homeland.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 3, 2020 at 11:36 pm #1203370145That was such a great episode, met all the hype and exceeded it. And yes, good tape for Beau Bridges, he came off quite ‘presidential’.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 4, 2020 at 1:39 am #1203370322I also loved the first four episodes so far, in my opinion, all seasons of Homeland have been excellent with the exception of the third. I love the supporting characters and I know who they are, so I guess that is a matter of good memory and not being distracted while you watch.
It is interesting to see Sam Trammell is this role after True Blood, very different and seemingly unsympathetic character. Costa Ronin is a favorite of mine after The Americans, he is excellent, I hope he books more big roles after Homeland.
I suppose that critics are making a big deal out of Max storyline because is the first story that he has that is not related to Carrie, but so far has been the least interesting part of the season, also, it seems pretty obvious that he will not stay the lucky amulet of this camp for much longer….
ReplyCopy URLMarch 4, 2020 at 4:57 pm #1203371248Thats who he is !! haha. Indeed Trammell is ery different here.

ReplyCopy URLMarch 9, 2020 at 10:22 am #1203375799I couldn’t believe things went where they did here! “Homeland” is seriously gunning for a returning Drama Series nomination in its final season, and watch it snatch a slot from one of your favs! Claire Danes is always riveting as Carrie, but I’ve been just as enthralled by Mandy Patinkin, who’s proven in the past that he doesn’t need Danes around for an Emmy nomination of his own. I’m not looking forward to where the story is going for Carrie based on the previews, b/c of course she will be blamed in some way for the peace talks failing and Warner’s tragic death. On the other hand, I wonder if Sam Trammell can pull off playing this Trump surrogate. Well, maybe he’ll be more nuanced than that walking orange clown, but it’s nice seeing Trammell land this plum role after years on “True Blood” being under-utilized. And I told you rude bitches about Maury Sterling, didn’t I? You’re welcome lol.
