Yet another great episode. Emma and Olivia were both outstanding, they played the tensions between their characters amazingly. We’re finally getting into the bones of it all and I’m excited to see how they keep adapting the books. Also, can we point out the actress for Laena was there for so little, but she did great with her screen time.

Still watching and wondering what on earth they’re going to do for category placements though.

I never really doubted the new actors would be able to pull off the roles. The actual issues is that there’s a lot of filling in the gaps the audience has to do when it comes to characterization and motivation. And that’s an even greater problem with this time jump. While the nuance and weight are just not there yet. I get the sense that this whole first season is gonna end feeling like a prologue.

to be honest, I wasn’t *huge* on this episode? didn’t find myself invested in any of the new characters, even though the acting is overall pretty good. the story itself is interesting, but I’m not invested in anyone at the moment so I found myself bored for most of the episode.

I think people will need time to love the new characters, just like the ones at the beginning of this season. But all actors are great so far!

Oh and can we talk about the dragon in this episode? Best CGI of the show so far (better than any recent Marvel movies lol)

Excited for the rest of the season! I love the tension so much!

The ONLY thing I didn’t like, is that Ser Criston Cole looked the same… It doesn’t make any sense when both girls looked way older than him.

This one could be a writing submission. It was a great episode (the best I think) and had better dialogue than most of Thrones tbh.

    The Good News:
1)I like the new cast except for the guy below.
2)Adult Alicent is a real piece of work but I love it.
3)Criston Cole vs Strong ws great.
    4)Daemon centric stuff was great
    5)2 more dragons !

    The Severely Bad News:
1)Aegon is severely miscast. Like I am not buying it at all.

They will recast him (and the rest of the kids) later in the season.

Paddy aged 100 years whilst Matt and Fabien stay eternally youthful.

Exactly… but in defense of Paddy, he was sick even 10 years ago so

Sorry to be that guy but when *they* will campaign at the Emmys, it’s gonna be for Lead Actress so…

…Just because someone is being hypothetically campaigned in a certain category doesn’t mean they aren’t entitled to being referred to by their proper pronouns. It requires the most minuscule of effort to simply respect other people.

I know and respect that, but don’t be surprise if people call them « her » when Emma is literally playing a female princess… it’s not disrespectful in that way.

Also, for what it’s worth, the rules have been amended so that people can campaign in one category but elect for a Outstanding Performer trophy, not Best Actor or Actress. This is not a first – Clemons-Hopkins and Corrin both use they/them pronouns.
