Ngl the last three minutes were the most interesting part of the episode.

I thought that last scene was the weakest. It did not work for me. The “switch” felt too forced.

George R.R. Martin said in an interview that maybe Season 2 will debut in April or May 2024, but obviously there’s no way to guarantee that at this point: https://youtu.be/BgNmr9dMfFE?t=261

Maybe the next asoiaf book will drop when this show ends. Or maybe after the next show in the universe ends.

This is exactly how I figured they would submit. Emma in lead has been a gut feeling ever since the finale. I hope they get nominated everywhere

Considine is the only true lead in the most episodes. D’Arcy is no more lead than Cooke is, or both should have the same placement in supporting actress. I don’t think that helps them in a highly competitive lead actress SAG race, but for the Globes, sure, the new and shiny young thing will get a lot of attention in debut season. Nomination, not the win.

Jany Temime just confirmed on her instagram that she is NOT coming back for season two, due to schedule conflict (she is working with Alfonso Cuarón on a new movie). There are already rumors about Caroline McCall stepping in….

What do we think about HOTDs performance at the Emmy’s this year following that surprise Golden Globe win?

Too early to say – SAG nominations are going to be pretty indicative. Ensemble is essential as a few guilds are shaky. Getting any individual actors (particularly on the actress side, where they blanked GoT for a decade) is what would show some strength.
