Picking just six out of this shortlist is a RIDICULOUSLY impossible task. Might just say “screw it” and go with a fourteen-way tie.

Comedy is just too good this year. Shows like Minx, The Great, The Chair, Russian Doll, and WWDITS would be LEADING my nominations any other year, but it looks like they’ll all struggle to make a strong showing in this overflowing field. Peak TV is just too damn good.

Currently the closest a previous personal awards winner of mine in this category (which includes multiple names on your list) is in the 7th slot just outside my current personal awards lineup of 6 and they may very well end up staying there because the performer who is currently 6th in my comedy actress category would be clearing any other year.

It really is such a crazily rich field of competitors this year.
