Variety’s review is out, and it reads mostly positive. Starring Emmy winner Uzo Aduba and premiering on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Looks like it’s airing two episodes every Sunday and Monday. 24 episodes in total. 16 episodes have been screened for critics.

Ten years after the Season 3 finale, Emmy-winning drama series In Treatment returns for its fourth season with Emmy winner Uzo Aduba (Mrs. America, Orange Is The New Black) as the observant, empathetic Dr. Brooke Taylor, the therapist at the center of the season.

The reimagining of the series is set in present-day Los Angeles and brings a diverse trio of patients in session with Brooke to help navigate a variety of modern concerns. Issues such as the global pandemic and recent major social and cultural shifts are a backdrop to the work Brooke will undertake—all while she deals with complications in her own personal life.

In Treatment Season 4 also stars Anthony Ramos (Hamilton) as Eladio, who works as a home health aide for a wealthy family’s adult son; Liza Colón-Zayas (David Makes Man) as Rita, Brooke’s longtime confidant and friend who supports Brooke as she contends with her own demons after a life-altering loss; John Benjamin Hickey (Jessica Jones) as Colin, a charming millionaire beach bum turned white-collar criminal reckoning with all the ways his life has changed following his recent release from prison; Quintessa Swindell (HBO’s Euphoria) as Laila, Brooke’s distrustful, teenage client, struggling to carve out her own identity separate from her family’s overbearing expectations; and Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind) as Adam, Brooke’s long-time on-again, off-again boyfriend who has resurfaced to create further complexity for her.

With Anthony Ramos, Liza Colón-Zayas, John Benjamin Hickey, Quintessa Swindell, & Joel Kinnaman

I’m excited for it, I loved the first season of this show.

One thing I should say, the Emmys went with the big names and not necessarily the best performances when they nominated the show back in ’08 and ’09, that’s why I’m lowkey confident in Ramos and Hickey. I’d say George and Wasikowska were the MVPs from the first season.

No. I’m probably going to watch it, but I don’t think many will bother to start this.

The first reviews are kinda serving Aduba and a few actors in but not the show.

6 weeks is manageable. But no one should expect high ratings for this.

Usually around 25 minutes. It’s basically 12 episodes of those hour-long drama series by HBO.

No one watched the original In Treatment, either, so status quo.

    24????? Thats alot

During the first iteration of this show, they had 40+ episodes a season. By comparison, 24 a season is pretty tame.
