International Emmy contenders – drama, miniseries

The International Emmy nominations will be announced sometime this or next week (at the end of September, according to their website). I’m always curious about potential drama series contenders, as they usually have solid selections. Last year’s winner, McMafia, was quite good. Any potential contenders for this year?

How are these decided?

There is the BAFTA nominated The Victim which I think is on Britbox in the States. Saw it on the BBC here in the UK. Honestly it’s a masterpiece so I won’t be surprised if Kelly MacDonald (from Boardwalk Empire, Trainspotting and Nanny McPhee) broke into this race.

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Pedro Almodovar is half his way for EGOT. For the ilm “The Silence of Others”, he just got two emmys “Oustanding Politics and Goverment Documentary” and “Best Documentary” in the News-Documentaries Emmys
