Jodie Comer is to star in a series based on Jen Beagin’s upcoming book Big Swiss.
HBO landed the project, which comes from A24 and Adam McKay’s Hyperobject Industries, in a really competitive battle against 14 bidders, Deadline understands. The project is in development at the premium cable network, which we hear is really keen on the limited series concept.
It marks the first major series Comer as she comes off the fourth and final season of Killing Eve.
Big Swiss follows a woman, who after starting a new life anonymously transcribing sex therapy sessions in Hudson, NY, becomes fixated with one of the patients, leading to an obsessive, explosive relationship between the two. Comer stars as Flavia aka Big Swiss.
Comer will exec produce with author Jen Beagin on the project.

She is playing another obsessed woman. They should also remake Notes on a Scandal with her and Olivia Colman.

The film isn’t widely watched, and if it is, everyone will notice that she’s good in it. This is not like King Kong when everyone watched and cringed over Lange’s performance.

I think, if anything, it just made her doubt herself a bit, like she saw the critical performance of Ridley’s last two pics and TLD didn’t get her the accolades she was probably hoping for, so she dropped out of the napoleon pic and went back to her comfort zone: TV.
Although a drama series about an intense, obsessive relationship is maybe a bit too much in her comfort zone lol.

March 16, 2022 at 3:36 pm #1204854669Why does everyone know she dropped out but purposely ignore the reason why and would rather add imaginary commentary. It’s getting weird.

Whoops, I only knew she dropped out from reading GoldDerby threads lol, so I didn’t know this!

Please. Once she starts her west end debut next month she will have played in a single year; a nerdy coder and her girlboss avatar, a covid era care home worker, a 14 century French noblewomen, a psychopathic assassin and a working class barrister.
She does not do comfort zone.
