Welcome back to another Emmys edition of love or loathe. This time we have Julia Garner and her fucking bitch wolf winning role for season 3 of Ozark. I actually really love this win, especially considering Julia has always been the best performance on the show. Season after season she continues to out due herself and I’m constantly amazed that she can continue to top herself. I love all her wins for the show but especially for season three. She is such a force of nature in the show and is always deserving to me. Let me know what you think do you love or loathe her win for seaosn three. I would just like to add that Tom Pelphrey was robbed of not only a nomination but a win for this season as well.

I wouldn’t have given her the win for this season but I don’t loathe the win at all she’s still great.

I don’t loathe it but it should have been Snook so I don’t like it lol. Garner is always great though.

It’s an excellent characterisation Garner brings to this role (and really to every role she takes) and her win for season 2 was richly deserved. But I just didn’t find her work in season 3 to be on the level of the performances Laura Linney, Tom Pelphrey and even Janet McTeer gave.

It’s definitely not a performance I loathe (she deserved to be nominated!) but out of the nominees I thought Fiona Shaw, Laura Dern, Helena Bonham Carter and especially Sarah Snook all gave some of the strongest standout performances of that awards season and were more deserving.

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Amazing performance but undeserved win ,especially with Rhea Seehorn not even being nominated

I gave Sarah Snook the win for Lead Actress in a Drama in my personal awards as well as Rhea Seehorn for Supporting Actress in a Drama, because Rhea is on another planet with that Performance, but that doesnt mean I dont love Garners win. I agree Snook was the best Performance of the nominees but she should have been in lead, and Rhea should have been nominated. But that doesnt mean I still dont love Ganrers win. I can love more than one Performance.

I wanted Laura Dern to win, but I liked Garner as well, so I still like her win anyway. She was stronger in season 2 though.

Love. Come to Ozark late and with high expectations for Garner, she didn’t disappoint. Would’ve personally given Dern the win from lineup but Garner getting a 2nd is still a great win.
