Lol you do realise its only August?

Weird and off-kilter pilot. Not all of it worked, but enough of it did to pique my interest and keep me watching for more episodes. Jurnee Smollett was indeed electric here. I’m thrilled that she’s getting the opportunity to display her immense talents and range.

Ah ok. I was just saying that to say something is coming hands down after one episode is a bit premature.

Looking forward to the rest of the show more now!

The pilot started slow, but the second half-hour was really great. The promo was intriguing.

I think this will hit PGA, WGA, DGA and maybe even SAG. Let’s wait and see.

Oh, this gotta be nominated for cinematography, right? Stunning work.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

Did anyone else find the sound work unexpectedly poor for a show of this budget?

Or it could just end up like Sharp Objects and get in all those guilds and then just say bye at the Emmys.

I think considering he seems to have the performance and is the president of SAG I think Courtney B. Vance is a lock at the Emmys.

Surprised to see Smollett is first billed in the end credits since she definitely took a bit of a back seat to Majors in the pilot, but it has me excited to see what the show has in store for her.

*Of course this may just be contractual whatever, but still interesting to see

Worth noting, Vance isn’t listed with the main cast, so his role might end up being more secondary than this pilot makes it seem.

That is true. But if he has more material or is guest eligible I see him making it in for those reasons mentioned.

Episode Title: “Whitey’s on the Moon”

Synopsis: Inexplicably recovered from their terrifying night, Leti and George luxuriate in their new surroundings, while Atticus grows suspicious of their Ardham Lodge hosts, Christina Braithwhite, and her elusive father, Samuel, who unveil cryptic plans for Atticus’s role in their upcoming “Sons of Adam” ceremony. Later, after Tic, Leti, and George stumble upon a clue that could lead them to Montrose, each takes an unwelcome walk down memory lane.

Fantastic episode, I was stressed from the start, and Majors and Smollett continue to shine. Definitely did not expect that ending and I’m excited to see where things go from there.

So that just happened. I can’t tell if I’m thrilled or disgusted yet.

What is this show about? The promo for next week’s episode promise something completely else. This week’s episode was also confusing and I have so many questions.
