Master of None will be back with a third season to be shot in London. Naomi Ackie joins the cast with Lena Waithe returning and Alan Yang behind the scenes again. I’m so happy this brilliant show will be back even though I was perfectly fine with S2’s ending.

Got the five episodes.  Embargo lifts May 19th ahead of the May 23rd release.

I absolutely loved this season. I really liked the vibes and how real and intimate it felt. Naomi Ackie should be easily winning and Chapter 4 would be a great Writing winner as well.

Naomi Ackie is quickly becoming one of the best actresses of her generation. She is so powerful, magnetic, real on screen.

I can’t WAIT to see her play Whitney Houston.

I’m currently on episode 4. The first episode was slow paced but after that, the plot goes along and I’m liking the season. Naomi Ackie is just fantastic.

I really enjoyed this season. It definitely took a moment to get used to how tonally different the show is compared to its previous instalments, but I actually came to enjoy these differences. I will say that the direction style did begin to grate after the first episode, which I feel like Ansari only used because he wants someone to call him an “auteur” lol. Lena Waithe’s performance has definitely improved (while still being slightly wooden), but the real star was Naomi Ackie who has undoubtedly become my Comedy Supporting Actress winner – and a welcome shakeup in what was looking like a pretty boring field of nominees. When it comes to category placement I just don’t understand how this can be labelled a comedy, especially when episode 4 literally had me crying because of how depressing it got haha. Overall I really hope this happens in at least Series, Supporting Actress, Guest Actor, Writing and Cinematography.

    FYC!!:

Best Picture: The Power of the Dog
Lead Actress: Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World)
Lead Actor: Simon Rex (Red Rocket)
Supporting Actress: Kirsten Dunst (The Power of the Dog)
    Supporting Actor: Vincent Lindon (Titane)

I thought Ansari’s direction could be distracting at times but otherwise really enjoyed this experiment. As a longtime fan I’d probably check it off for a nomination in most categories but the only place I’d really love to see it win is Naomi Ackie in Supporting Actress for episode 4.

I think it’s in for Series, Writing, Directing, Guest Actor, Production Design and Cinematography; Ackie could go either way and I won’t be surprised.

I enjoyed this season!! It was a very dense, profound and moving experience. Naomi Ackie is amazing and is the highlight of the season. Lena Whaite is good. The vibe of the series when compared to the other two seasons has completely changed, but I liked that.

Don’t see how this is a comedy. Could someone please explain that to me. I’ve watched the entire season.
