As I predicted, it’s coming to be a massive serve. First reaction:

Nice to read this. I thought the trailer was pretty mediocre but it won’t be the first time this happen this year.

Dear Netflix campaign staff, please do not waste this show’s awards potential. You just prioritized Emily in Paris and made it an Emmy nominee; you can do better!

I am bumping this since the show has premiered and people are seemingly looking for a place to comment about it.

This show is absolutely incredible! Mike Flanagan did it : it’s even better than Haunting of Hill House!! 95% on Rotten Tomatoes with an average of 8,5. That’s insane for a horror show!

I’m two episodes in and I’m digging the show. I love the slow burn and the setting and all the actors are doing great work, especially Hamish Linklater. Can’t wait to see where it goes.

This was great. Like in Flanagan’s most recent work, especially Bly Manor, this is more a commentary on grief and faith than an horror show (although the last 2 episodes were more horrific than anything in Bly Manor). It also reminded me of The Leftovers, that shares similar themes aswell. The whole cast was great and I’m already ready for them to be overlooked at awards despite being more deserving than some nominees. Same for Flanagan, that should already be an Emmy winner for his work on Hill House. This also puts AHS Double Feature to shame, Flanagan is really who Murphy thinks he is…

The “What Happens When you Die” scene had me sobbing like a baby. Kate Siegel and Zach Gilford were hauntingly beautiful.
