Just finished the last three episodes and damn I loved this. The weakest episode for me was probably the Garner/Whigham one just because I knew where it was going and it made me just a little uncomfortable watching it go there lol. Whigham was great though, I’d love to see him get more substantial work. He’s also just really hot. Olivia Cooke and Andrew Scott were both amazing in their episode, Cooke especially. But the best performance of the show is probably Jane Alexander. She was devastating. I mean, that monologue! And it was cut little tie up between all the storylines to finish off the series.
I don’t know where this would compete for awards, but I’d love to see some kind of writing nomination. Could any of the performances logically get acknowledged lol? It’s a shame because if some of the episodes were actual shows in their own right, a few of the performances would be awards worthy (or at least nomination worthy) – specifically Alexander, Hathaway, Fey, Whigham, Cooke, Keener and Scott.August 3, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1203625144This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 3, 2020 at 5:00 pm #1203625152
So why was Patel’s co-lead Catherine Keener not submitted? Was it a convoluted plan by Amazon to open up a nomination slot for a second Maya Rudolph to vote-split Wanda Sykes to a win?August 3, 2020 at 5:21 pm #1203625201
Those Modern love submissions were a hot mess. Some in guest and some in supporting for no reason. I’m surprised Dev got inAugust 3, 2020 at 8:19 pm #1203625399This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 4, 2020 at 9:51 am #1203626192
Andrew Scott remains a standout to me in this. I absolutely loved this entire series and think all of the episodes had something special, but Andrew Scott made me cry. Such a beautiful episode.August 7, 2021 at 9:22 pm #1204386517
Is season 2 being submitted as comedy again or is it now only eligible as limited series?August 15, 2021 at 11:29 am #1204398173
Huns, this season was boring and i only liked 3 episodes, LOVED the Minnie Driver one and ofc the Menzies/Okonedo.
Here’s how i would rank them
1. On a Serpentine Road, With The Top Down
2. Second Embrace, With Hearts and Eyes Open
3. Strangers on a Train
4. In The Waiting Room of Estranged Espouses
5. The Night Girl Finds a Day Boy
6. Am I…? Maybe this Quiz Will Tell Me
7. How Do You Remember Me?
8. A Life Plan for Two, Followed by One (how they wasted Dominique Fishback is beyond me)
It's all about Ethan Hawke!August 15, 2021 at 11:49 am #1204398185
I was underwhelmed by the episodes this season. I can’t point my finger why, but most of the episode didn’t have an effect on me unlike the first season episodes where I love or like 6 of them. The only episode that stood out for me is the one with Dominique Fishback. The rest were just okay or meh.

I don’t know but it is abundantly clear their campaign priority is Kit Harington.
That makes sense. Most famous (by far) of the cast and he does an accent.
