This season has been killing it! There’s no weak episode so far and it’s impressive how they are developing every character so beautifully. Charlotte Nicdao, Josh Brener, Danny Pudi and F. Murray Abraham are win worthy and I expect Rob McElhenney to have a lot of good material in the last episodes. I know we still have 2 more episodes but this might be my favourite show of the year so far.
ReplyCopy URLWow the finale was huge! This season was perfection and now that Superstore is (sadly) gone, Mythic Quest has the best comedy ensemble on TV right now. Everyone served and I don’t know who to choose as the MVP, I guess it’s a tie between Nicdao, Pudi and Abraham. The writing was beautiful and on point and the directing was great too.
I don’t know what’s is going to happen now after that finale. I hope it gets a third season, but if that was the last episode, then I’m happy too, because it was a very fun and special ride and the finale was very satisfying . If it indeed gets a third season, then I guess they will follow the Halt and Catch Fire route, developing each character separately and in their individual space. That’s a though job, but I’m sure the writers will kill it!
ReplyCopy URLLoved this season, the show successfully filled the potential it was showing last season. Ever since a Dark Quiet Death in Season 1 this show has been terrific, and hasn’t looked back.
Echoing the sentiments expressed earlier, if this is to be the last season, that a was a terrific finale.
If not, i’m very excited and curious to see where this show goes next. I think everyone brought their A-Game this season and the ensemble really got to shine this year. So difficult to pick an MVP this season,
Fingers crossed, this show gets some love on nominations day.

It’s odd, but I think this show has a ton of great episodes that don’t quite gel into a complete whole. It’s a good season, but 9 30-ish minute episodes aren’t anywhere near enough to delve much into the characters and their relationships at all, especially since the ensemble has 7 major characters even if you ignore the tertiary people. And while the episodes focused on CW were great helped our understanding of him a lot, that meant we only got 7 episodes spanning about 3 and a half hours for the other 6 major characters. It’s not anywhere near enough. The season is still an 8/10 for me, but there’s so much missed potential in there.
