I watched the pilot and something was . . . off. These ladies are talented, but they seemed stiff with the Fey and co. writing. It’ll probably improve throughout, but not a good first impression.

I’ve just watched the pilot and this was by far the funniest episode of television I’ve seen this season. Having Tina Fey as a producer and guest actor on the show only helps its award chances.

One could say Peacock is a flop at the Emmys because they got 0 (?) nominations last year, but what shows did they have before this one with enough potential? I’m keeping it in my predictions as from now. TCA will probably tells us more.

I’m two episodes in and this is absolutely hilarious. All four ladies are perfect, but Goldsberry is the standout. She’s a riot in this. What I’m loving the most so far is the writers commitment to the shows ongoing bits. The invisible piano one in particular is gold. Also, the songs are so funny lol. I haven’t been able to get the Famous 5eva one out of my head for hours. I really hope this manages to break through with the Emmy’s and I can’t wait to binge the rest of it tomorrow.

I am desperate to see this – Busy uploaded a picture from set with Vanessa Williams on Instagram, honestly the guest star calibre here

FYC: "What We Do in the Shadows" and "Severance" in everything, Natasha Rothwell ("Insecure"), Sophie Thatcher ("Yellowjackets"), Renee Elise Goldsberry ("Girls5eva"), James Caverly, ("Only Murders in the Building")

I had no idea Girls5Eva existed until I saw an article on tvline praising it. Checked out the pilot and it is absolutely hysterical.

Renée Elise Goldsberry and Busy Phillips are the standouts for me, and I think they have great shots at nods in lead and supporting categories respectively. Would be shocked if this show doesn’t show up in series considering the sad look of the race overall. Between this show and Hacks, it will be nice to finally have something to give Ted Lasso a run for its money.

I will have full thoughts once I watch the full season (and maybe after I watch it a second time?) but this is great and Renee Elise Goldsberry is NEXT LEVEL.

Watched the entire series in a day (only 8 episodes) and loved it!

I can’t get the theme song out of my head, so that’s definitely a contender for the Main Title Theme Emmy… along with all the other songs from the show that should compete in Music & Lyrics.

The whole cast is great and I would be happy to see everyone nominated in this weak Emmy year for Comedy.

I too love Renee the most… do we know for sure that she will be competing in Lead Actress?? I feel like she would be a winner if she submits supporting and the show kinda makes it seem like Sara is the Lead and the rest of the girls are supporting. Either way, would love to see all 4 nominated.

Tina Fey could possibly win the Guest Actress Emmy as Dolly Parton… like, what a laugh out loud WTF role! Also, Vanessa Williams would make for a likely nominee.

Stephen Colbert should be nominated for Guest Actor as a “Max Martin” type Pop music producer. Would love to see Dean Winters and Andrew Rannells considered for nominations as well!

Based on the pilot alone, Renee Elise Goldsberry needs to be winning that supporting actress Emmy
