    SPOILERS

Emery is going to be guest eligible in a 6 eps of 14 season – she strikes me as a pretty solid prospect for a guest nomination

    SPOILERS

She appears in all 7 episodes actually so she won’t be.

She has that hospital scene with Linney and the scene where she shoots Frank Jr.’s dad. Oh, and when she tells Wyatt Social Services are taking Zeke away.

“Ace Deuce”: I didn’t enjoy this fourth episode as much as the first three but it was still entertaining with some thrilling sub-plots. With shows like Ozark (or Mad Men, Breaking Bad, even Succession for that matter) I always find it compelling when a show explores the familial background of its tragic hero (well I guess Wendy isn’t really so much of a tragic hero considering she’s essentially Ozark‘s Lady Macbeth lol). Funnily enough I was just thinking to myself before the episode introduced Wendy’s father about how we hadn’t really seen a reaction from any relative of Ben or Wendy’s to the former’s disappearance (or as we know, murder).

Linney was sensational in this episode. She hasn’t had an emotional scene like she did in “Fire Pink” but she’s really just been on fire (pun unintended) this season so far. There are so many new layers she’s shown as Wendy in each of these episodes so far that have just been exciting to unfold. Also that scene where she pulls off the landline from the rule!!

    FYC:

"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

Julia Garner on that final scene…… WOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was just F– amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best acted scenes I’ve ever seen and I’m not even exaggerating.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

They should invent a drinking game so every time Darlene shoots someone you take a shot lol.

Emery ate that season up. Darlene is a great character, and that’s largely down to Emery’s restraint as an actor because the script she gets could easily be interpreted in a more broad or simplistic way. Her comic timing/line-reading is also good. I’m sure no one expected Darlene to be one of the show’s most memorable characters while watching her first scenes back in season 1.

FYC: Station Eleven in all categories

Emery ate that season up. Darlene is a great character, and that’s largely down to Emery’s restraint as an actor – she doesn’t play the role broadly. She successfully crafted a unique and lived-in character, which I’m sure no one expected watching her first scenes back in season 1.

Yeah, I was really impressed with Emery this year, and you’re right – there’s a way to play that that would be really broad and not as compelling.

JULIA GARNER. Lorddddd. That was on an entirely different level. Just give her the Emmy right now!! Laura Linney too! And if they don’t submit Lisa Emery again, I will be damned. She better be nominated.
