You would think this place would be the first ones to recognise stuff like Maid and Abbott Elementary.

April 13, 2022 at 10:44 am #1204915657Is there any eligibility rule for nominees? Because the three PGA winners: Ted Lasso, Succession and Mare Of Easttown are missing.

Succession and Ted Lasso have already been awarded in this place and they usually don’t repeat shows. Mare just missed because it’s not the kind of stuff they vote for.

ReplyCopy URLApril 13, 2022 at 11:50 am #1204915718Was Abbott Elementary eligible for this? They only had 1 episode air in 2021
ReplyCopy URLApril 13, 2022 at 12:01 pm #1204915731You just need to premiere in 2021 to be eligible.

Live action American TV shows that got a Peabody Awards mention and didn’t get an Emmy ATL nomination (eventually or in the same year):The Bridge (The cancelled FX version)
Jane the Virgin
Rectify
Jessica Jones
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Dickinson
David Makes Man
The Good Lord BirdBroadchurch and Happy Valley were both eligible for the International Emmys (I think). The Knick got two Directing nominations + tons of techs, The Leftovers got a Guest Actress nom (I know, but I consider Guest an ATL category). Inside Amy Schumer got a Lead Actress – Comedy nom. unReal got Writing and Supporting Actress – Drama. Orphan Black got Lead Actress – Drama for the second season (Peabody honored the first season). Scandal got Lead Actress – Drama. American Vandal got a Writing nomination.
I think Reservation Dogs could get that lone Writing nom. It has an AFI mention and now this.

Broadchurch season 1 was eligible at the International Emmys whilst seasons 2 and 3 were submitted at the Primetime Emmys. Both seasons of Happy Valley were submitted for the Primetime Emmys.

That’s only because they ran in Children’s (the year before the Daytime move) where they did get nominated.
ReplyCopy URLApril 13, 2022 at 5:48 pm #1204916009The Long Song (PBS)
I understand it probably aired in the US in 2021 but it’s funny how a limited series that originally aired in 2018 is still up for awards in 2022…
