Low-key sad about all the Tobias at last that are coming but still, it’s fitting.

    2. Jason Sudeikis
    3. Jean Smart
    4. Kate Winslet
    5. Josh O’Connor
    6. Julianne Nicholson

    8. Brett Goldstein (he was good on S1, evolved on S2)
    9. Olivia Colman
    10. Evan Peters (I’m happy for him, but this role was not the best)
    11. Ewan McGregor
    12. Tobias Menzies (I’m torn, i love him SO MUCH AND I’M SO HAPPY, but it was so anticlimactic, I’m pretending is from S3 instead, but MKW, O-T were better)

Only doing main ceremony for now:

    1) Hannah Waddingham: One of my favourite performances of the year, she really imbued her characterisation with heart and I’m glad to see some West End excellence recognised!

    2) Jean Smart: Queen (although I do feel sad for Kaley)

    3) Josh O’Connor: His skill has been so underrated for so long and really this win is for both his performances in both seasons of The Crown where he showed such versatility. Looking forward to seeing where he goes next!

    4) Julianne Nicholson: By far my favourite performance out of the nominees in her category and not just because of the final episode. She really played off well against Winslet in a lot of scenes (Especially the bench one in episode 5) and it was a wonderfully restrained performance. I hope this win gives the exposure her talent deserves!

    5) Jason Sudeikis: Excellent performance that avoided deteriorating into a stereotype and my personal winner but perhaps I’m only ranking him so low because he had no competition lmao.

    6) Gillian Anderson: Acting goddess although this should have been her 4th win in the past decade after The Fall, Hannibal and Sex Education.

    7) Kate Winslet: I preferred Michaela and Elizabeth but Winslet still gave an excellent career high (although not best – I hold a soft spot for Sense and Sensibility) lived-in performance that was win worthy.

    8) Ewan McGregor: This was a barren category and he’s the only who actually made my personal awards lineup out of the actual Emmy nominees but he was great and he’s been overdue recognition so I’m glad to see him get some.

    9) Olivia Colman: National treasure! Glad she finally has an Emmy but really this should have been Emma’s or Elisabeth’s or MJ’s…

    10) Evan Peters: This category should hands down have gone to Paapa Essiedu but Evan is so overdue (and should have won at least once for AHS) and hot and he was still good on Mare so I’m fine.

    11) Tobias Menzies: This category should hands down have gone to O-T Fagbenle or Michael K. Williams but Menzies was win worthy in season 3 of The Crown so I’m ok with the win.

    12) Brett Goldstein: At least it wasn’t Carls Clemons-Hopkins.

FYC: Better Call Saul and The Good Fight in all categories including Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.
