Such a hard group to rank! Especially when some years had an entire group of deserving performances (2017 was insane). While she didn’t win, my personal favourite and pick would be Reese Witherspoon for Big Little Lies. And to begin this decade, I would choose Witherspoon for Little Fires Everywhere.

There is absolutely no weak link in this line-up. King may be last on this list, but she is deserving for this performance. If I could add nominated performances, I’d add Felicity Huffman for “American Crime” Season 2, the “Feud” ladies, Patricia Arquette, Amy Adams, Jessica Lange for Asylum (better than “Coven”).
