I think Brett Goldstein’s chances will depend on his competition like Uzo Aduba last year. Short and Martin feel ahead of him (they’re more famous, they’re veterans, their performances are arguably “more comedic”) and Hoult got in last year when The Great aired back in May so really it will depend on whether voters are still willing to default to The Kominsky Method. They dropped Grace and Frankie when Maisel exploded at SAG so I can definitely see them do the same here.

    FYC:
Picture: Passing, The Power of the Dog, Shiva Baby, Spencer
Director: Jane Campion, Rebecca Hall, Pablo Larrain
Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch, Andrew Garfield, Winston Duke/James McAvoy
Actress: Olivia Colman, Kristen Stewart, Tessa Thompson
    S. Actor: Richard E. Grant, Troy Kotsur, Kodi Smit-McPhee
    S. Actress : Kirsten Dunst/Martha Plimpton/Ruth Negga/Diana Rigg/Anya Taylor-Joy
    O. Screenplay: Bergman Island/Mass/Nine Days
    A. Screenplay: The Lost Daughter/Passing/The Power of the Dog/Shiva Baby

Andie MacDowell attended a Maid screening and did a Q&A at SAG. She’s somewhat a big name and she has a baity role so I’m wondering if she could happen

I have her getting in, I’m sure it will backfire but oh well.
Weird having 2 Mare + 2 Maid + Coolidge but what can I do.

I have her in. Everywhere we temd to have a coattail to an already strong show here at SAG so considering how strong Maid will likely be as a contender all season it would make sense for her to coattail at the expense of Chastain and the Impeachment ladies. She’s a veteran with a showy performance and we know SAG likes both those things.

I’m also curious to see how The Great will perform, the trailer got some very good views on YouTube, if it grows Hulu will for sure be happy.

When Coolidge wins due to a double vote-split.

Obviously Ted Lasso is locked for a nom and it’s probably winning too. I haven’t seen Only Murders but if it’s too focused on the main trio then I don’t see how it would beat Ted Lasso in a place where Orange is the New Black was constantly beating Veep, and Maisel beat Fleabag. Only Murders will probably be nominated because of SAG’s recency bias.

Which is why I could still see Hacks missing Ensemble. It’s not really an Ensemble. It’s a two woman show + whatever the hell was Carl Hopkins doing.

I think people should watch out for Cobra Kai. I know people think it underperformed at the Emmys, but it’s the definition of an Ensemble show and season 4 will be released at the peak of voting proccess. They don’t even need to watch, they could just look at the show trending on social media and cast a ballot considering how populist they are. They nominated Brooklyn Nine Nine (!)

This could age like milk, but I think The Kominsky Method is absolutely IN for both Ensemble and Michael Douglas. It’s a show about actors and even with a buzzless final season it was able to get 3 acting nominations. Don’t overthink. The show was out of the TOP 5 in the GD rankings in its two Ensemble nominations with less than 80 people predicting a nom.

Insecure and What We do in the Shadows stand no chance IMO. They’re Girls/Silicon Valley.

Yeah, as much as Shadows’s ensemble deserve to stomp in all the others, it’s clueless to me how they are still on the top 5 of the odds ahead of a show SAG already nominated twice.

Don’t know about Cobra Kai and don’t see Hacks missing. Ted Lasso is probably winning but i think Only Murders will be the runner up if we could affirm that, the show does have it’s strong outside actors (The Boy from 6B!), but at the end they don’t have that much of an ensemble outside the main 3 and later Amy Ryan. Ted does have a bigger ensemble and they used (most of) them quite well in s2.

For now i only have two options lol
    3 Mare + Qualley + Coolidge
    2 Mare + 2 Maid + Coolidge

I love my girl Chastain and she killed but girl has zero buzz for this. Watch they nominate Erivo.
