Suddenly with the addition of Squid Game and with The White Lotus supposedly changing fields, the Drama race now has a fresh breath of excitement while Mare is looking ominous for a Limited category sweep. Bartlett gone bodes well for Peters.

A really good point. Of course, as mentioned, GOT had the final-season narrative, which THT/Moss does not have, but it’s absolutely true that sometimes the stars just have to align for you.

    Moss

I hope what you say are true kate_ebbs and Luca. Go Girl! Get your long Overdue SAG.

Exactly but most of foolishly assumed it had just been a SAG thing

I predicted her (although purely as a hope-diction because I joined this site to look up her chances and it was before I actually got into and learnt about awards prognosticating lol)!

Imagine Foy lost that Emmy, and we would have no Wolfali here. The TV thread, especially BAFTA, would’ve been a graveyard.

A blowout for Winslet. It’s what she deserves.

    Nobody voted for Chastain? Shocked

Shows (a) no one of us in the TV forum that have watched Scenes voted for her (lack of massive passion) and (b) the normal Gold Derby user (and in fact the normal public) definitely didn’t see Scenes at all. The fact Nicole Kidman and Anne Hathaway got more votes than her–eww. I’m now not predicting Chastain for a SAG nom in this category.

I’m now curious how many votes Isaac gets in the Limited Actor poll.
Chastain couldn’t manage a single vote (not even by name check).

I don’t understand. Was the poll asking who you were predicting or who you would like to see win?

I think it was “who you’d vote for.” The fact Chastain didn’t get a single vote has kind of put to light my fears that Scenes is really not being watched by people.

Dinklage finally won after years too, and SAG never awarded the GoT ensemble. Maybe she just needs the right people to fall out of the race.

Or when Sally Field eventually won for Brothers & Sisters 3rd season after Sopranos ended, Damages didn’t air any episodes in 2008 and the Grey’s actresses fell out.

    Oscars FYC:

    "CODA" – in all categories

"Everybody's Talking About Jamie" – Sup. Actor (Richard E. Grant), Sup. Actress (Sarah Lancashire) and Original Song (“This Was Me”)

"King Richard" – Original Song (“Be Alive”)

"Summer of Soul" – Picture, Film Editing and Documentary Feature

“The Green Knight” – in all categories
