I love all the actors getting out and Paul Rudd having a chance.
He deserves.

If that rumor that Euphoria will still be filming in August is true, I think it’s unlikely that it will debut before January. Especially considering we still don’t know the release date for Succession (only that it will be in Fall).

When we end up just with The White Lotus, Scenes from a Marriage and Impeachment with big summer/fall releases.
This whole let’s leave things all to 2022 it’ll backfire, too much content at the same time.

The rational voice in my head watching the impulsive one add Sex Education to my predictions AGAIN…

Honestly as someone who has never predicted Sex Education anywhere outside of the BAFTAs, I think it’s very possible that this is the year it breaks through (at least here). It’s airing closer to SAG voting than it usually does, there is going to be a lot of interest around Anderson as she is coming off an Emmy win and the show now has the prestige of a major awards win (a BAFTA is a BAFTA). Likewise its Netflix.

I actually wonder if Elisabeth Moss is actually win competitive for her overdue SAG this year. The Handmaid’s Tale seems to have had a bit of a resurgence in support this season and Moss arguably delivers her best performance on it. Aniston will provide strong competition and she could very well Jason Bateman herself to a repeat but if Margulies (who was a SAG darling back in the day just like Gillian Anderson) ends up being a strong contender, they could split votes.

I think if Corrin does win the Emmy we could have a situation where Rodriguez takes Critics Choice and Moss takes the SAG.

I wonder if her movie might help Chastain here (i don’t think she’s winning anything for that, but the buzz could help).

How i would rank actress right now

1. Kate Winslet, Mare of Easttown
2. Beanie Feldstein, Impeachment
3. Sarah Paulson, Impeachment
4. Jessica Chastain, Scenes from a Marriage
5. Michelle Dockery, Anatomy of a Scandal if it comes out on time, if not, Jennifer Coolidge for The White Lotus.

Honestly don’t underestimate Nicole Kidman here. Nine Perfect Strangers looks awful but they love this woman so much. They even nominated her for Grace of Monaco 💀💀💀.

If it gets ok reviews and it’s a hit i will for sure add her.
I mean, it can’t be worse than The Undoing right?

Has Anatomy of a Scandal been confirmed to come out in time for the winter awards?

No, it isn’t. I suspect that Netflix might just be backloading 2022 with all the audience hits (especially after some of their recent investor results. They are running out of space).

I have a theory (largely unsubstantiated) that they might time Anatomy of A Scandal to the release of Downton Abbey 2 (which is now late March). Dockery is relatively press shy and this would make sense, plus that movie release + The Gilded Age around then also fit nicely in a press cycle and won’t be directly competing.

(my other theory is that Downton Abbey 2 would be a PERFECT movie for a streamer to acquire and run as TV movie in the US).
