NBC announced on Tuesday that the full cast is returning for Season 46. That includes Kate McKinnon, who worked out a new deal in the past few days.
No word yet on hosts or how they will return logistically.

September 17, 2020 at 1:35 pm #1203713511Besides their similar broad smiles, I’m having a difficult time picturing Carrey as Biden. I wish they’d just pick someone from the permanent cast. Not a lot to choose from there for Biden, but maybe Beck Bennet? He’s still at SNL, right?

Davidson suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder. A disorder that causes him to have unstable relationships and mood swings. So I’m sure he regrets it now, which explains why they didn’t fire him.

This actually does make sense to me. Its just weird that we have now had 4 actors playing Biden, and none of them are in the current main cast. Thats the worst part about SNL now, they don’t allow the main cast to shine and mainly use guest star talent. It it sucks especially when people like Beck could do a great job at playing Biden.

If anyone needs more screen time, it’s Bowen Yang. He’s outstanding.

Yeah but it’s not like this was a spur of the moment thing from the looks of it. He didn’t just randomly tweet all that, he made a conscious choice to set up an interview where the main topic was insulting the rest of the cast.
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 18, 2020 at 6:45 am #1203714803I think Chloe Fineman could do an excellent Biden.
Fineman could have had a breakout character last season if Marianne Williamson lasted longer than she did. At least in the home episodes, she landed all of her impersonations and showed much future potential on the show.
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 18, 2020 at 7:03 am #1203714823The fact that Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang are still hired on as “featured players” when they’re better than most of the main cast…
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 18, 2020 at 8:30 am #1203714997They haven’t been there long enough to be promoted. All of the contracts there are on a scheduled system.
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 18, 2020 at 8:43 am #1203715041I love Kate McKinnon but is she ever going to leave SNL lol?
my hunch is (not based in fact at all) that her (and probably Aidy Bryant) were ready to leave last season but then when covid happened they wanted to complete more real episodes and have a proper send off before departing

Based on previous seasons, everyone who’s not already being played by a bigger celebrity.
