ReplyCopy URLJanuary 23, 2022 at 10:48 am #1204745370Forte got an interesting episode. three skits didn’t work for me but the WU, The double dare, and the return of wiig made it awesome. B+
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 23, 2022 at 2:48 pm #1204745604Will Forte rocked it! He did more than enough for a guest actor Emmy nomination. So much better than last week’s rambling episode. Ariana DeBose was lively and tried to compensate for the poor writing, but maybe too much. I could see all of that try-hard theater kid energy pushing overdrive in sketch after sketch. Like, you’re coasting to an easy Oscar win in two months, relax girl lol. Having Forte and Kristen Wiig back together made my night, and for once I loved all of those dumb “MacGruber” sketches that parodied the alt-right and anti-vaxxers. Did they really make a series out of this? Poor, desperate Peacock. Cold open was fine. The new guy was great as Trump again with the Wordle craze lol. Having Kate McKinnon back makes the show feel complete again. Those country singers were awesome, and that crazy threesome sketch. “Weekend Update” ran way too long, though I loved getting back the guy who bought a boat and Bowen Yang’s Chen Biao lmao. “Human rights? Ummm, we don’t … have that.” And Måneskin, wowwww. No clue who this band is, but I wasn’t ready for that BFE blazing through my television screen like that! He knew where every camera angle was placed lmao. What a huge breakthrough for them! I stan.

January 30, 2022 at 7:37 am #1204759644Now I’m up was my favorite sketch of last nights episode. Nugenix and Temp were also funny. I loved Peyton Manning on Weekend Update talking about Emily in Paris.

ReplyCopy URLJanuary 30, 2022 at 2:18 pm #1204760313Willem Dafoe was bananas! Loved just about every sketch he was in, particularly the “I’m Up” song, the wicked Eugenix sketch lmao, and the “Beauty & the Beast” spoof. The Please Don’t Destroy bros killed it again! I hope those Trend-Setters become recurring characters on “Weekend Update.” I can’t unsee the spectacles that Katy Perry put on for both her musical numbers, but if the goal was to be meme-worthy and eye-raising, then mission accomplished, I guess.

He was so good! Weekend Update was fire. I declare i have a huge crush on Michael Che.
Also, we need to talk about Melissa Villasenor. 😬

ReplyCopy URLFebruary 18, 2022 at 2:43 am #1204808042Well well well. Kanye has posted a picture of Lorne Michaels to his instagram and said “you’re next”. Imagine going after one of the most powerful people in media and entertainment who has the full backing of NBC.
He made sure to crop Michaels’ full birth name which is a massive anti-Semitic dog whistle as well, in addition to the Disney and Bob Iger dog whistling in recent days.
What do you guys think will happen from this point? So far Kanye has threatened to send 100 goons to 30 Rock, asked his fans to harrass Pete if they see him in the street, got Che involved for some crazy reason, and now is threatening Lorne.
