In the last episode, I legit thought Jennifer Coolidge would totally nail Arquette’s character with all that pseudo-crying and meltdown.

Edit: After reading this thread, glad to see everyone praising Britt Lower, she totally deserves a nomination.

This is one of those shows that I recognize is really well made and high quality, but that I’m not super into it, for some reason. It has some of the best directing I’ve seen all year tho, but something about it isn’t quite clicking with me. Must be a taste thing. I’ll still watch finish it tho….

Patricia Arquette being the thread title is hilarious in retrospect.

Just watched episode 8 and this might be my favorite show of the year so far. It works so well on every level, and I never find myself wondering when an episode will be over. It’s perfectly paced imo.

    True, lol.
And maybe this is just me, but I think she’s the weakest link of the main cast. As much as I like her, there’s just something about her performance and some of her zanier line readings that isn’t clicking for me at all like pretty much everything else is.

Finished the finale. I need some time to process my review because I’m only just catching my breath back but I just want to say that after not being as hyped about her as others earlier in the season, Britt Lower quite possibly gives my favourite performance of this Emmy cycle. She was BREATHTAKING after Helly R. discovered who her outtie really is.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

This is easily my favorite show of the past year. It deserves Drama Series, Directing and Writing Noms, in addition to Scott, Lower, Arquette, Turturro, and Tillman being win competitive, with Cherry and maybe even Walken as well. It is that good. I’ll be rooting hard for it when Emmy nominations come around.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

AHHHHHH, I’m dead. That finale was phenomenal. I’m too shook to say more, it’s definitely gonna stick with me for days.

This is a once in a lifetime show. That was the best episode of TV I think I’ve watched in a long time. I would put it up against anything Succession or Better Call Saul has done in the past few years and I absolutely love those shows.

The finale should win the emmy for writing and directing among other technical awards.

Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turtorro, Zach Cherry, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, and Tramell Tillman all deserve nominations and I would be happy with any one of them winning at this point.

This is the best show to come out in years and I can’t wait for it to sweep awards season.
