    I voted NO
I personally don’t want it to get a second season. The show’s ending was very satisfying for me and I get the sense that the closure of Mare’s grief, Helen’s breakdown in the restaurant and the reconciliation of Mare and Lori tied most of the strings of the story. Sure there can be more chapters of Mare Sheehan’s life and if they find a way to have a season 2 which is distinct from the season 1,yet retains the charm of the first season I’m all for it.

Anyways,I can anytime watch Kate Winslet, Jean Smart, Julianne Nicholson, Evan Peters and the rest of the cast reuniting. HBO should make a season 2 only if it is better than or as good as the first season, and not just for the heck of it. Mare Sheehan is a fascinating character. So to sum up, I’ll say that Mare of Easttown doesn’t need a second season but if a good idea is there, then why not.

P.S.: I don’t think that this will be category fraud. The show was conceived as a limited series and the makers made it with one season in mind,so everything was as per a limited series.
