Not sure if these should be included since they were consecutive seasons that just missed one year’s eligibility.

According to Tom O’Neil’s book, Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton did not get nominated in 1976 for All in the Family because their forms to submit themselves for the Emmy ballot did not arrive in time.

    Samira Wiley – The Handmaid’s Tale – nominated 2017 back in 2020

She was nominated & won in Guest for Season 2 (2018) when she wasn’t nominated in supporting, as she was for seasons 1 (2017) & 3 (2020). No one was supporting-eligible for the hanging episodes eligible in 2019.

It’s kinda insane to think out of the THT players, Wiley’s the one who never missed / becoming an Academy favourite.

That’s such a shitty reasons for them to miss being nominated but at the same time so ridiculously funny, sounds like a b-plot straight out of 30 Rock.
