I watched the pilot yesterday and thought it was fine. It’s flat-footed as a political satire and uneven as a workplace comedy out of the gate. The only laughs for me came from the running gag with Don Lake––it’s really nice to see such an underrated actor pop up here. I think the extended runtime didn’t help this first episode land. It really needed to be brisker. Nevertheless, it has potential and I’ll stick with it.

I watched the first two episodes yesterday and wow, this is very……..ungood.

I’m currently stuck in my house approaching the end of the TV season with few options for shows to watch for at least the next few weeks, and I’m still dreading the idea of watching the next episode, so yeah, this may be the end of the road for me.

It also says a lot that this thread has not had any action since the weekend. I know it is technically still the #1 show on Netflix currently, and there are a million more important things going on in the world right now, but it feels like this had no impact.

That’s too bad. I felt the same way about the first three episodes but pushed through anyway because I was watching with friends, and I thought it got much better after episode 4. The second half of the season was actually good in my opinion.

If it means anything, the RT audience score keeps going up (I think it’s at 77% now) and it’s already got more than 17,000 votes on IMDb after premiering not even a week ago. I think the general public enthusiasm is there, not that it would necessarily translate into any awards recognition though.

Renewed for Season 2. The show will also undergo a “creative revamp,” with Norm Hiscock (Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) joining Greg Daniels as co-showrunner and production moving from Los Angeles to Vancouver in an effort to cut costs.
