The Playlist: How many times can we watch the Roys stab each other in the back? However, everything shifts in the third episode of this season, which, without spoiling a thing, truly feels like the climax of the entire series. It’s what so much of this drama has been building to over the first three seasons, a collision of deeply personal and ruthless business interests fueled by perfect writing and acting. Episode 3 is “Connor’s Wedding”
I am shaking you guys! This one para has pumped me for Ep 3 like nothing else.
March 23, 2023 at 1:19 pm #1205361546On Succession, Bloys said he would have taken more seasons of the show, but creator Jesse Armstrong had made the call to end it after the upcoming fourth run, which begins on Sunday.
“Generally speaking, that is the kind of thing you want to leave to the creator,” said Bloys. “Jesse felt it was the right ending. He knew there was an open door, and if he felt [like] it, he could have done more.
“But it’s an ideal situation that he’s choosing to end on his terms when he wants, telling the story he wants. But if he said, ‘I’ve got two more seasons,’ I would have said, ‘Okay, good.’”
They had no pressure from HBO, which is good, I just hope the ending is satisfying. Many people involved with the show (especially Snook) are saying it will divide people.

There is no reason to be hush-hush about declaring that “Succession” season 4, which ends just in time for 2023 Emmy consideration, deserves all the awards in the book. Cox is long overdue for a gold statuette for the Shakespearean grandeur and strafing wit he brings to his portrait of power abusing its privileges. Get busy, academy.
March 24, 2023 at 7:34 pm #1205363088guys I saw all 10 episodes, willa takes waystar.

I watched it again too last night and it honestly still feels just as fresh as it did when it aired. There are so many things you notice that you didn’t the first time round but what’s so beautiful about it is that they’re not sign posted to you and they’re coded within the discussions the characters have with each other. And Matthew Macfadyen’s performance 👏👏🏽. I know a lot of people talk about that final shot with Shiv and Tom (I definitely did at the time) but that scene where Shiv is telling Tom about her plan is just phenomenally acted. Somehow he manages to display a sinister sense of looming betrayal without deviating from what we know about Tom as a character so that when the reveal ends up happening at the end you feel the gut punch just like Shiv does. His Emmy win is honestly one of the most inspired of all time that I can’t believe voters had enough taste to make it happen.

Goldberg and Fienberg from THR said on their podcast no one has more than 4 (so declarations on nailing the ending are guesswork) and a lot of press got 0 or 1.
March 26, 2023 at 12:11 am #1205363988Episode Title: “The Munsters”
Synopsis: As Kendall, Shiv, and Roman hone their pitch for potential investors in Los Angeles, a call from Tom shifts the siblings’ focus toward one of their dad’s long-coveted companies; back in New York, Greg’s uninvited plus-one raises questions at Logan’s birthday party; Connor considers throwing a gargantuan sum at his presidential campaign; Tom seeks assurances from Logan.
