Hacks can probably be compared to network comedies the turnaround is pretty quick. If they could turn it around that quickly in the middle of a pandemic they can definitely get it in by the end of May.

Yeah, I know, more just if they pulled a “oh, actually it’s continuing” like The Flight Attendant.

    Question Could Elle Fanning miss?

My biggest concern with The Great is I’d have been fine with it being limited. Almost everyone I know enjoyed it but whether it’s as strong in S2 I don’t know. I feel like it might be the kind of show that has drop-off. I love the change-over of actors idea but I do wonder how much more depth Hoult and Fanning can bring to this that they didn’t already nail in Season 2 given the tone.

I actually feel like a miniseries was too short for the story and I’m glad they are adding more, it’s a famous royal family, there’s bound to be a lot of material. Something different than what I feel with the likes of Russian Doll for example.

I’m thinking more about the female field, i found Hoult quite “safe” for the nod, but her i don’t know, the field is packed and it could get more packed.

Hulu will have Selena and her, will they push them both the same? The Great smashed at the guilds last year but Only Murders is a big hit, who knows.

    Question Could Elle Fanning miss?

Depends on her competition and how strong the show is. I think she’s firmly in the top 7 considering the show’s growth at the winter awards last year (she probably would have easily have made it in at the Emmys that have just gone had The Great aired on time) but if she misses SAG again or the competition is too strong she can miss.

    I have her third.

    A. Screenplay: The Lost Daughter/Passing/The Power of the Dog/Shiva B

Do you have Jean and Rachel above her right? Where do you have Selena Gomez at this point?

    I currently have:

    1. Jean Smart, Hacks
    2. Rachel Brosnahan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
(Kaley Cuoco, The Flight Attendant – if the show makes eligibility)
    3. Elle Fanning, The Great
    4. Selena Gomez, Only Murders in the Building
    5. Natasha Lyonne, Russian Doll
    6. Issa Rae, Insecure
